Food that they sell at the store’s have alot of vitamines for dogs, i don’t think homemade dog food is going to get your dog healthy…but in the other hand my dog doesn’t eat store food, he only eats house food…just cook him some grilled weenies and cut them…That’s what I do.

My dog has a very sensitive stomach (pancreatitis), so my vet said that when he’s acting mopey and eating grass to make himself sick that I should boil up rice w/ chicken in it. My dog loves it! Sometimes I vary it and make ground beef and rice… The best part is, when it cools off I can scoop off the fat that risen to the top (since fatty foods worsen my dog’s condition).

Hard part is getting home made foods to be nurtionally complete, but on my profile there is a home made food site you mix with meat & water…if you’re worried because of the food recall…most, if not all the foods are no longer for sale or just avoid anything with Wheat Glutin & make sure foods say 100% nutrionally complete, not just complete..unless it’s a special diet recommended by a Vet, there is also the Raw Meat diet, whole raw meats..NEVER cooked bones other then beef bones..chicken necks, whole fish ( tho only once a week for dogs ) good for small dogs & cats… turkey necks..etc for bigger dogs or grind the whole RAW foods for inside dogs or cats is good too ..Peace & TC :)
