Anyone else affected by Pet Food Call and dog having problems?

My pomeranian has been having kidney problems lately. Also drinking lots of water. A couple of days ago, he stopped eating his dog food and started eating the cat’s food instead or his own dry food. I thought he was just getting old. Since he stopped eating his food, he hasn’t been peeing in the floor anymore and not drinking as much water. Heard about the pet food recall today. I have been feeding him the pet food that was recalled. I plan on calling the 1-800 number of the manufacturer tomorrow and also calling my vet. Was wondering if anyone else has has problems or has called the number?

I found out I had definitely fed my miniature American Eskimo one of the bad cans on Saturday, and may have fed her other affected products in the past few weeks, but I have no idea how much she may have had since the other products are long gone in the trash. She seems fine right now, but I am going to call my vet Monday morning and see if they think I should bring her in to have a blood test, which can check for potential kidney problems. I still have the empty can, and will take that with me. I am really worried about her because she is 17 years old, but I am hoping having blood tests done can determine if she will be OK. Good luck with your Pom, I hope he will be alright.
