Going to walmart tomorrow what type of dry puppy food is the best to buy ?
He is a mixed breed. Part Boston terrier and part Pug. He is beginning his biting stage. Any help would be appreciated!

   I recommend Purina. Put it in the dish, add milk, stir a few times so it’s kinda soft, not mushy. You can stir in SOME leftovers that are safe for dogs; meat , gravy, beans, butter, among others. Never let it have artificial sweetner of any kind. I have always given milk to dogs, & believe it’s pure crap that it causes diarhhea; never happened. You want the pup to have strong bones; 1/2 cup a day should do it, unless it’s large breed.Don’t buy Ol’Roy when you go.

   By Nature (if they have it there)

   It’s the only good brand that I’ve seen at grocery stores and places like wamart.

   DO NOT BUY YOUR PUPPY FOOD AT WALMART. Go to a good ‘pet food store’ or pet store’ and buy the ‘best you can afford’ … and do ‘ask the clerk’ for ‘expert help’ in choosing, because some foods are good for some breeds but others are better for other breeds …

   First, what kind of food is you pup on now? Switching foods abruptly can hurt their stomachs, and make them vomit or have diarrhea in addition to bloat and painful gas.
   Personally, I use Iams’ for sensitive systems, but you’ll need something formulated for a puppy. Most of the big pet chain stores like PetSmart and Pet Supermarket have ‘food experts’ who can recommend a diet based on your pups’ daily activity, age, and breed. Try them first.

   IMHO none at Walmart. I use California Natural Lamb and Rice. It was what I decided after many months of research. Corn is an allergen, wheat, chicken(can be) all this California Natural Lamb and Rice doesn’t contain. Not to mention some dog foods add in “antifreeze” (something glycol) as a preservative(also not in California Natural). Research carefully to find the right one for your breed. There are some very good ones out there, just not available at Walmart, K-mart, Target, or any of the chain grocery stores, also my humble opinion.
